Content Management Systems (CMS) have been around for a long time. When I created training courses for the military we had a propriatary CMS. There are also lots of websites that have had a propriatery CMS as was the case with this rersonal injury attorney's website. The monthly cost of the previous CMS was very expensive and the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) system outdated as well as being difficult to use.
That's why Robert Burns asked if Intrepid Network could build his website on a new platform but keep it looking exactly the same. No problem! (= This job can be very simle or very complicated. It usually depends on the amount of content and pre-existing data if there is a database as was the case for a recent website hosting migration we did for USAopoly.
In this case there was not a lot of content or data. This is a basic entry level website that is clean and professional already so there was no need to change the design (-aka- theme). We built the site on the open source CMS platform Drupal 7. We then customize the backend to allow the owner of the site or their staff to easily update content.
Many automated features that assist the website with Search Engine Rank Placement (SERP) and database backups.
