Logo Redesign for High School

Intrepid Network is extremely excited to announce the new design for Point Loma High School. We are honored to be involved with the design and development of the logo.

Josh Utley, President & CEO of Intrepid Network (fellow alumni and pointer) attended all four years and graduated from PLHS in 1995. Josh says he almost became an architect instead of a multimedia designer & developer.

"I took two years of traditional drafting and C.A.D. before switching to Graphic Design. My junior year I tested out of computers. This made me the first student to ask to take the final on the first day of class. I passed and took a second period of graphic design."

Josh also took ROP graphic design after school (in all that is three hours each day). He also took typing for 6 months, even though he got teased a bit. During his freshman year, he also took an art class under Mrs. Bradley.

It was a huge pleasure for Josh to be back at PL in the art room meeting with their current art teacher Mr Wells some 25 years later.

The new logo is based on a rough sketch created by Mr. Wells which Josh moved forward with. After several revisions based on Hans Becker and Brian Carter's feedback the final revision was accepted last week. Intrepid Network will continue working with PLHS to ensure consistent use of its new brand identity and colors throughout its various athletic and student programs. The new logo will be featured on the school gym, scoreboard, clothing, and on digital and print communications and collateral.
